Project Description

The Main Street Bridge in Columbus, Ohio is a 700 foot (215 m), three-span, inclined arch suspension bridge currently under construction over the Scioto River. When completed in June 2009 the bridge will be the first in North America and only the fifth in the world to use an inclined arch superstructure. Additionally, the bridge is believed to be the first in the world to use cables and struts to tie the arch together, and the first to carry both pedestrians and vehicles.
