Project Description

The Wellsburg Bridge is four lane bridge that will provide a new crossing over the Ohio River. When it is complete, the corridor will connect Route 2 in Wellsburg, WV to Route 7 in Brilliant, OH.

Our Role

McNary Bergeron is providing construction engineering services to the Design-Build Team. This includes analysis and procedures for the float-in of the tied arch main span which will be constructed offsite.

Construction Method and Specifications

The span will be loaded onto barges outfitted with ALE jacking systems and then floated downstream and onto its final bearing locations at the project site.
