The Christina River Bridge is a new river crossing in downtown Wilmington that is part of a Waterfront revitalization project. The three span bridge is the first spliced concrete girder superstructure constructed in Delaware. The bridge is supported on a cast-in-place substructure and precast concrete piles.

Our Role
McNary Bergeron performed construction engineering including a crane access trestle and precast soffits for the river pier footings. For the superstructure, McB provided erection procedures, temporary works designs, as well as a rigging design for the girder segments.
